My children are the two sitting at the gravestone in the photos you took that are used on the actual site for the graveyard tour. There is also a photo of our entire family holding lanterns outside the Fort Anne building, preparing for the tour at http://www.tourannapolisroyal.com/graveyard.html.

I want to thank you very much for honoring our request and sending us the image of Erin and Stuart. They got a real 'kick' out of receiving it.

We have since moved to British Columbia and are so glad that we took the opportunity to travel to Nova Scotia when we did - our one and only chance.

By the way, for interest's sake, we're also distantly related to the tour guide Alan Melanson. I am the 10th great granddaughter of the brother of Alan's 10th great grandfather.

Thank you very much,

Dear Mr. Gildart,

Enjoying your perspective and photography of the maritimes, an area so rich that any gravy or sauce would seem redundant. We, too, had taken the same trip, entranced by Alan Melanson and his brother (true drama kings of history). Near Friday the 13th, on the cusp of Halloween, you can't improve on the graveyard walk at Fort Anne. I thought that your vision of the moon was precise, but that perhaps you had enlarged Alan to fit the scene. To hell with confession, let impropriety prevail...it's your blog and you can blog if you want to.

Keep up your fine work.

Kindest regards,
Dr. C.
