Bert, would we have ever met without being Airstreamers? Glad that my travels led us to meeting, and I hope our paths cross again soon. Oh, and we’re going to need to talk about washboard roads and our Airstreams some more…….

I’m taking another trip to Coyote Buttes and White Pocket the 20th of November and staying a few days. If you’re going to pull the Airstream down here I’ll have a great list of photo ops for us!

Bert and Janie: Sandi and I have greatly enjoyed your first 100,000 miles and now that we know you better, eagerly look forward to your next 100,000 miles. May they all be safe ones too!!

Another saying about travel that you might like is one that I conjured up as a rationalization for not using a GPS (in the truck no, in the boat, yes) or asking directions (a man-thing you know!). I firmly believe that “time spent lost and wandering is never wasted.” We have stumbled upon some of the most beautiful and quaint places by accident. We have found some very interesting characters that way as well. That’s the beauty of our form of travel.We can become citizens of each new place we visit.

Follow Least Heat Moon’s philosophy of traveling the “blue highways” to really see America. The next best place you have ever visited is just around the next corner.
